The Holodomor of 1932–1933 in the Testimonies of the Inhabitants of the Shyrokivskyi Raion of the Dnipropetrovska Oblast
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to describe the events of the 1932–1933 Holodomor (based on the example of Shyrokivskyi raion of the Dnipropetrovska oblast) based on the analysis of eyewitnessʼs memoirs.
Methods of research: theoretical – studying and analysis of scientific historical literature, search, comparative-historical; special-scientific – systematization, comparison, bibliographic.
Main results: the course and consequences of the Holodomor in the Shyrokivskyi raion are covered with the help of eyewitness accounts.
Practical meaning: recommended for studying when studying this topic.
Originality: historical events were used based on evidence from their eyewitnesses. Scientific novelty: expansion and additions to the historical picture of the events of the Holodomor in the Shyrokivskyi raion by means of a detailed analysis of the worked out testimony.
